The classical texts · 公版原文與底本來源
The Chinese classical texts on this site are public domain. They were composed centuries ago and are part of the shared global cultural commons. We transcribe and collate them with immense gratitude to the open-source digital humanities community, primarily Gary Chow's daizhigev20 (殆知閣古代文獻檢索系統開源專案), alongside the Chinese Text Project (ctext.org) and Wikisource (維基文庫).
Our translations · 翻譯版權
The English translations on this site are original works of the Chinese Astrology Library, written directly from the classical originals - we do not reproduce the translations of others. They are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
What that means, plainly:
- You may share and adapt our translations freely, provided appropriate attribution is given.
- Derivative works must stay under the same license - the library's translations can never be privatized or locked behind a closed, proprietary paywall. This is a permanent structural guarantee.
- Anyone who creates derivative works, translations, or annotations based on our corpus must publish and share them openly under the exact same CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Please note: older translations found in public-domain archives - for example the nineteenth-century versions of Legge or Wilhelm - are not ours and are not what you see on this site.
The glossary · 術語表
Our bilingual glossary is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) license - the same licence as our translations and bilingual corpus, so the whole library stays consistently open. You may share and adapt it for any purpose, provided you attribute it to AstrologyLib and keep derivatives under the same licence. (For the full licence summary and attribution format, see the License page.)
